OZONE GENERAL APPLICATIONS

Daily Hygiene. Hygiene is an important factor for a healthy life. Proper hand-washing alone can prevent colds, unnecessary food –borne illness and reduce the spread of infectious diseases. But general hygiene with ozone water is more beneficial since it is less harsh on the skin than chemical cleansing substances and can replace lotions or moisturizers. It can be used in the home, office as well as places where large numbers of people gather to prevent contaminations.

Oral Hygiene. Toothbrush bristles become infected by air-borne bacteria toothpaste residue and food particles from your mouth. Soaking your toothbrush in ozone water for a few minutes every day will destroy bacteria that reside in the bristles. Gargling with ozone water can remove unpleasant odors to keep the mouth fresh and prevent oral infections. It can also treat cancer sores and other sensitive oral areas.

A most memorable story is the “miraculous win” of the 1960 Olympics US Ice Hockey Team over the indomitable Russians. The story below was extracted from an article written that same year by Randy Schultz entitled,

Working Man’s Gold.

· “I think it was when we defeated Canada that we realized we really had a chance for the gold, or at least a medal,” recalled McCartan, who would later go on to play pro hockey with the New York Rangers. “But we know our next game against the Russians wouldn’t be easy.”

· In the Soviet contest, McCartan seemed to grow stronger as the game went into the final period with the teams tied at two. The Russians kept coming in wave on McCartan and the U.S. defense, but the goal tender stopped them cold. Finally, at the 14:59 mark of the third period, Billy Christian scored to give team USA a 3-2 victory. The win moved the U.S. into the gold medal round against Czechoslovakia.

· In the final game, Team USA trailed 4-3 after two periods. It looked as though the Americans had finally run out of gas and luck against the Czechs.

· “Some of our guys were running short of breath,” recalled McCartan. “It was because Squaw Valley was a mile above a sea level and the air was quite thin. A Russian player, who we called ‘Solly’ (his real name was Nikolai Sologubov), stopped by (between the second and third periods)with some friendly advice for us. He told us that we should be breathing some pure oxygen to help get our strength back. I guess there wasn’t any rule against that, so we went ahead and did it.”

· Whatever was in that oxygen paid off for the U.S. team. The Americans came out flying in the third period. Within a span of sixty-seven seconds, the Cleary brothers and Roger Christian all scored. It was a lead the Americans would never relinquish against the Czech squad.

· Team USA went on to beat the Czechs 9-4, and in so doing became the first U.S. gold medal winners in Olympic history.

The concept of stabilized oxygen as a dietary supplement presents us with a gift. I think we need to know more of the chemistry and physics, but we know the cancer, heart and lung disease, and common infections all stem from a critical deficit of oxygen.

Oxygen (O2) – Life

Oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and sulfur are the five basic elements of all life. Of all the elements that support life, oxygen is the most abundant. Oxygen is essential for combustion (oxidation), and acts as a disinfectant, deodorizer, sanitizer and preserver. Oxygen makes up almost 50% of the earth’s crust by weight, 42% of all vegetation, 85% of seawater, 46% of igneous rocks and 47% of dry soil. This colorless, tasteless and odorless element so essential to life comprises 65% of our body.

We can live a few days without water, and a few weeks without food, but only a few minutes without oxygen. All functions of our body are regulated by oxygen. It must be replaced on a moment-to-meant basis because 90% of our life energy depends on it. Oxygen energizes cells so they can regenerate. Our body uses oxygen to metabolize food and to eliminate toxins and waste through oxidation. Our brain needs oxygen each second to process information. In fact, all of our organs need a great deal of oxygen to function efficiently. The ability to think, feel, move, eat, sleep and even talk all depends on generated energy from oxygen.

Oxygen is the only element capable of combining with almost every other element to form the essential components necessary to build and maintain our body. For instance, nitrogen + carbon + hydrogen + oxygen = proteins. Carbon + hydrogen = carbohydrates. Hydrogen + oxygen = water. The combination of oxygen in the air, water, proteins and carbohydrates creates life energy. None of this energy could be produced without oxygen. As you can see, without oxygen we could not have the grand experience called life.

Oxygen Deficiency

Everybody gets sick eventually. Here’s why. In the process of creating all these conveniences and marketplace choices, we have made a lot of bad choices and let our daily air and water become polluted, and this pollution has increasingly been collecting inside us. Also, our mass-produced processed foods are grown on mega-farm soils that are de-mineralized and also lacking natural oxygen. These two major conditions are chronically hampering our ability to get and absorb enough fresh oxygen inside us at the cellular level. This chronic low oxygen condition that we all have causes our cellular oxygen levels to drop so our blood becomes more and more polluted. Dirty blood sets the stage for all the diseases. Because we all have this condition, our health officials tell us it is ‘normal’ to have dark brown-purplish blood. Is it ‘normal’ that so many are sick? The increasing rates of viral infections and cancers are not by coincidence. The proof of this can easily be seen by looking at your own blood with specialized dark field microscopes. You will be amazed what you fin there. Our too-low cell oxygen levels encourage toxic buildups and the growth of anaerobic (can’t live in active oxygen) microbes such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other pathogens inside us and inside our animals and pets, and in our plants. Anaerobes and toxicity slowly building up and overtaking us until we break down are the ultimate cause of most human, animal, and plant health problems as well as being the precursors to the whole list of ‘incurable’ diseases.

There are proven, safe, and effective re-oxygenating and re-mineralizing techniques not presently taught in our medical schools and they’re not just simply breathing oxygen from a tank and eating dirt. These little known (in our country) techniques have been used safely and effectively on the international scene daily for over 50 years by thousands of doctors. Why We Become Oxygen Deficient

A combination of nitrogen and oxygen creates the air we breathe. Many researchers believe that most of us cannot extract all the oxygen we need from air because the air itself is oxygen depleted, especially in large cities and industrial areas. An increase in industrial air pollution and automotive carbon monoxide to escalating oxygen deficiency throughout the world. Air bubbles trapped in ancient fossilized amber were found to contain oxygen levels of 38%. We have almost 50% oxygen available to us today? Before the advent of the industrial revolution, the oxygen content of our air was 32%. In the early 1900s the content was reduced to 24%. As we approach the year 2000 the oxygen content of our air has dropped to an average of 19% to 21 % by volume in relatively areas 10%. This is dangerously low. Scientists believe that if the oxygen content of air were to drop to 7%, it could not human life.

Ocean plankton and rainforest vegetation are the world’s main sources of oxygen. Both sources are being destroyed at an alarming rate, while simultaneously; our respiratory system is under assault from toxic quantities of dust, pollen, tar, acid, smoke, bacteria, rubber, carbon and metals.

The average person’s diet today only increases the problem. Many of our diets consists of processed foods that are high in saturated fats and sugars and low in fiber, enzymes, water and oxygen content. A diet high in processed foods and ‘junk foods’ requires tremendous amounts of oxygen in order to be metabolized. A deficiency in the oxidation process of our body leads to an accumulation of toxins that would ordinarily be burned (oxidized) in normal metabolic functioning. Our body has to se precious oxygen needed for other essential metabolic functions in order to process oxygen-deficient food.

Dr. Samuel West, a noted scientist in the field of lymphology, proved that food present in cells that are oxygen-deficient will turn into toxic waste products and fat. Essential fatty acids help to produce hormones and enzymes, and they also act as co-factors to other nutrients. Essential fatty acids help to lower cholesterol and blood pressure, and reduce the risk of heart attack. They are essential in the normal development and function of the brain, and they are found in vegetables, flaxseed oil, salmon oil, cod liver oil, and fish. Saturated fats have no function in our body. They are found in animal and dairy products such as cheese, milk, meat and butter. When we cannot fully oxidize these saturated fats because of a lack of oxygen, our body stores them. Saturated fats clog up our arteries, lead to untold health disorders, and unfortunately appear on our hips, thighs, stomach and under our chins. The more excess fat we carry, the more oxygen deficient we become.

Dr. West also reported that insufficient oxygen in our cells causes pain to be experienced more acutely than when oxygen supplies are ample. When cells are oxygen deficient, they start producing improper chemicals that soon cause them and their neighboring cells to become unhealthy. If this continues for a prolonged period of time, the immune system is compromised and pathological-disease conditions are given a chance to manifest.

Our diet also impacts our body chemistry. The human is always trying to maintain a proper acid/alkaline (pH) balance. All the cells are slightly alkaline (anabolic) and secrete metabolic wastes, which are acid (catabolic). Anabolic activity builds our body, and catabolic activity breaks down nutrients needed to create energy and sustain life. This normal process creates lactic acids, which can overburden our body, especially when too many acid-forming foods are eaten. Acidic body chemistry affects most people in today’s society. Our body is constantly being stressed to use its oxygen reserves to neutralize excess acidity and get rid of toxic accumulations created by this problem.

Most vegetables and fruits, including acid fruits such as lemons and oranges, are alkaline forming. Carbonated soft drinks and coffee are acidic. Meat and dairy products are acid forming. Leading biochemists and medical physiologists say that aging and many diseases (including cancer) result from the accumulation of acid waste products in body cells and tissues. In an acid condition, red blood cells can function at only 5% to 10% of their oxygen-carrying capacity. The result is unhealthy cell metabolism, which can lead to serious problems including the suppression of the thymus gland.

The thymus is vital to the immune system due to its production of T-cells that protect us from toxic invaders such as bacteria, viruses and caner. The thymus starts to shrink about age twenty. By age sixty it is only about 5% of its original size. The thymus will enlarge in an alkaline environment and shrink in an acid environment. Consuming lots of fresh fruits and vegetables will help alleviate the toxic overload and oxygen deprivation created from acid –forming food. Drinking at least eight glasses of pure water each day will also help to wash the waste away.

Free Radicals – Friends and Foes

Free radicals are oxygen molecules that have lost an electron. These molecules are high reactive, unstable and capable of destroying an enzyme protein molecule or a complete cell through oxidation by stealing electrons from other nearby molecules. Free radicals are generated by our environment form air and water pollutants, and other substances. Sunlight, radiation, drugs, tobacco smoke, pesticides, chemicals, solvents, fried foods and alcohol are just a few examples of free radical generating substances.

The creation of free radicals is also a natural process of metabolism. Oxygen-free radicals serve a necessary purpose by burning bacteria and other waster matter. When our body is overburdened with out-of –control free radicals, the result is oxidative stress, which may seriously compromise the immune system and give rise to life-threatening disease decay. All forms of stress, whether from chemical toxins or from physical or emotional sources, deplete our body of precious oxygen. For example, adrenaline and adrenaline-related hormones created by emotional stress require tremendous amounts of oxygen for their production and oxidation.

Our body tries to protect us from free-radical damage by producing antioxidant enzymes. Antioxidants such as vitamin A, C, E, and others also come from food sources. Antioxidants are protective molecules also referred to as free-radical scavengers. They destroy free-radical action by feeding electrons to them, which change their chemical structure. These new stabilized compounds actually enhance the oxidative process. Low levels of oxygen result in increased free-radical production. A deficiency in cellular oxygen will also prevent our body from utilizing antioxidants and other nutrients effectively. Oxidation is required to extract the energy from our food and supplements in order to facilitate life. Regardless of the health-promoting potential any nutrient may have, very little metabolic value can be experienced from it if our body is oxygen deficient.

Our Body’s Oxygen –Delivery System

Our body has a remarkable oxygen-delivery system that regulates how much oxygen gets to each cell. Surrounding each blood cell are protective enzymes that protect our cells from oxygen damage. We take in oxygen through our lungs, skin and digestive system. The dissolved oxygen content in the blood of a healthy person is approximately four times that of air. Hemoglobin in red blood cells is the liquid carrier of dissolved oxygen to our body’s trillion of cells. Oxygen is consumed in the complex oxidative process of converting proteins, carbohydrates and fats to energy and heat needed for healthy body.

Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO). Involves breathing oxygen in a pressurized chamber. This therapy saturates tissues and cells with oxygen, thereby greatly enhancing healing and immune-system response. HBO therapy was originally designed to treat divers and aviators for decompression sickness and air embolisms. Today HBO therapy is helpful in treating a wide variety of diseases, pathogens and degenerative conditions.

Ozone Therapy. Ozone is administered in a variety of ways:

· Intramuscular injection. A small amount (less than 10 ml) of a mixture of ozone and oxygen in injected into the buttocks for treatment of cancer.

· Rectal insufflations. A mixture of ozone and oxygen (100-800 ml) is introduced into the rectum and absorbed through the intestines. This method is used in Europe to treat ulcerative colitis.

· Autohernotherapy. Between 10-50 ml of the patient’s blood are removed, treated with a mixture of ozone and oxygen, and the reinjected or reinfused into the patient. This method is used in Cuba to treat HIV infection, herpes, arthritis, and cancer.

· Intra-articular injection. Doctors in Germany and Russia inject ozonated water into the patient’s joints to treat arthritis, rheumatism, and other joint diseases.

· Ozonated wound, burns,and skin infections, or to treat the mouth following dental surgery.

· Ozonated oil. Ozone is bubbled through olive or sunflower oil to form a cream or salve to treat fungal infections, insect bites and stings, acne and similar skin problems.

· Ozone bagging. A mixture of ozone and oxygen is pumped into an airtight bag surrounding the area to be treated. The mixture is absorbed into body tissues through the skin. Ozone bagging is used to treat slow-healing wounds, burns, leg ulcers, gangrene, and some skin infections.

Hydrogen Peroxide Therapy (H2O2) is the forerunner of stabilized oxygen supplements. Literally thousands of articles have been published in medical journals and magazines about the benefits of hydrogen peroxide therapies. Hydrogen peroxide is manufactured in the bloodstream to help fight bacteria, viruses, yeast, fungi and other invading pathogens. It can be found in many fruits and in some vegetables. H2O2 therapies include injections of highly diluted solutions, intravenous drips and ingestion by diluting 35% food-grade hydrogen peroxide in water. The ingestion of H2O2 is controversial because it can cause and adverse reaction in the digestive tract: excess hydrogen causes and unbalanced pH. In any case, H2O2 therapy should only be used under the supervision of a licensed health professional.

Nutritional therapies that include certain vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids are extremely important for the creating and utilization of oxygen in the body. For instances:

· Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is an antioxidant enzyme found in every cell. SOD turns free radicals into stable oxygen molecules and hydrogen peroxide, which fights bacteria, viruses and infections.

· Co-enzymes Q10 (CoQ10) is also found in every cell and is essential for the increase or decrease of oxygen to cells as needed. Cells cannot function without CoQ10.

· Minerals are essential components of enzyme systems that regulate, through catalytic action, thousands of biochemical reactions, including the metabolism of proteins, carbohydrates and fats.

· Germanium is a mineral that greatly enriches the function of oxygen in cells and tissues. It enhances the immune system, provides bioelectric balance to the cells, and helps to remove toxic minerals, such as mercury, lead, and cadmium from the body.
